Qatar has long been an internationally recognized sports hub with a wide array of first-class sports facilities. And it is an acknowledged host of global sports events.
Now Qatar is bidding to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup™ and its plans are nothing short of spectacular! They also dovetail with the country‘s massive infrastructure development of recent years.
We intend to deploy low-carbon cooling technologies for the stadiums and training grounds, which can then be used to help develop international football in other countries with hot climates.
Our sports infrastructure is new and it continues to evolve at an incredible rate. Having renovated various stadiums for the Asian Games in 2006, we have continued to invest, as we prepare Qatar to host the 2011 Asian Cup.
Thanks to Qatar’s extensive sports infrastructure, it can boast a busy annual sports events calendar, including international tennis, cycling, golf, gymnastics, athletics, MotoGP and powerboat racing.
